So many sweet memories of the Aunt Nellie, Uncle Joe, Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Joey. I watched your video... it was beautiful. Thank you for sharing a piece of Jimmy’s life. I pray that someday we can all share our Irish heritage in which Uncle Jimmy was so proud of. Blessings to all of you. Sincerely, Darlene Simmonds Coogan, daughter of Robert and Ida (King) Simmonds.
Our Irishman has gained his wings they were ready but our hearts were not we prayed for a miracle to happen and we did get part of it he got his wish to come home for Christmas. He was so proud of his family and cherished his grandchildren who he saw almost everyday. Jimmy was my brother(inlaw) for over 50 years it was soon evident to me that he was more my brother not my brotherinlaw how I loved that big Irishman with the gravely voice.he always answered the call when the phone rang and I always ended my conversation with him with I love you. his stories and the memories he shared with us over the years were fabulous. Jimmy made friends with everyone he meet he loved to go out to eat and flirted with the waitresses the ones at his favorite spots never forgot him. we will have to cherish our beloved memories till we meet again he has now been reunited with loved ones that went ahead they will be there to meet him that I am sure of along with his last cat Charlie. Jimmy loved the hot rod world and drove his hot rod all over the place no trailer queen was he. I have years of memories of going to Lake George for the long weekend in September and many many shows with the road Kinghts for there show in September at the river front. We knew it would be the final one for him this year and he joked as he always did so many stopped to see him and he made sure to shake everyones hand. He drove his car down to the show and home again with his soninlaw Paul. He left behind many that loved him myself my husband Jim Banks our daughter Heather (John) my sister Lou Ann (Mike Hayes) and their children Tamela (Justin) Tara (Tommy) their children Anthony and Zach Christopher (Karen)
he was loved by all of us and left a big empty spot in our heart we loved you Jimmy love Suz (as he called me)
