Obituary of Dorothy M. Bolte

Dorothy Marion (Quinn) Bolte, of Philipstown, New York, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born on November 6, 1930, to the late William and Lillian (Wood) Quinn in Bronxville, New York. 

Dorothy was raised in Tuckahoe, NY, graduated from Tuckahoe High School, and later moved to Continental Village, Philipstown, where she raised her family.  Dorothy returned to work at AT&T in White Plains following the passing of her beloved husband. The youngest of seven children, Dorothy valued family above all. She was an avid reader and could often be found enjoying a new book or magazine on her back deck or in her reclining chair. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and never missed a birthday card or the opportunity to celebrate an important event for her children or grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Charles Bolte (May 24, 1978), her parents, and her six siblings, William, Edward, Katherine, Albert, Mildred, and Richard.  

Dorothy is survived by her seven children, Mark (Lorraine) Bolte of Cape Coral, FL, Kyle (Marvin) Englert of Dawsonville, GA, Terri (Raymond) Stollmer of Hopewell Junction, NY, Kurt Bolte, Highland, NY, Alyce (Steven) Speziale of Fishkill, NY, Barbara (Stanley) Moore of Belgrade, ME and Dana (Linda) Bolte of Cold Spring, NY and daughter-in-law, Roxanne Bolte; her grandchildren Quinn Bolte, Dionne Englert, Ryan Englert, Cynthia Englert, Nicholas Stollmer, Victoria Stollmer, Wayne (Kelsey)Bolte, Matthew Bolte, Talia Mistretta, Brianna Mistretta, Jack Henry Moore, Ella Moore, Lily Moore, Kole Bolte, Blake Bolte, Kate Bolte, and Claire Bolte; great-grandchildren James Englert, Kaylee Englert, Gunner Englert, and Taylor Bolte. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Fran Quinn and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at Joseph Nardone Funeral Home on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Graveside service will take place immediately following visitation at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road, Cortland Manor, NY.
