Allison and George were totally involved and supportive of their two daughters education and development into outstanding, delightful, responsible young women.
George cheerfully volunteered in the classroom and always presented a cheerful attitude.
I have often considered them to be a "Treasured Couple" as their love and kindness toward each other was so admirable.
My deepest sympathy. May warm, loving memories bring you some peace.

Where would I start? From childhood, when he walked past my house every day going to and coming from grade school? To the long conversations we used to have over a Tuborg Gold after work (Lorraine and I had been married for about three years and George was just making his way out into the world). The fishing trips. the camping trips, the trips to the cabin in Ellenville. The trip to Ellenville when "Uncle" George spent the weekend teaching my eldest son (a teenager at the time) the proper care and handling of firearms from pistols to shotguns. And that a firearm was NOT a toy. George was always a beloved friend and an ever-present part of our lives. He will be sorely missed.

George and I were friends for almost 45 years. Our wives Allison and Georgia were classmates, room mates and life long friends since their Union College days. George, who I always referred to as the "The Big Man", and I attended many Union College reunions together and other gatherings with the "Union family". I can't think of a time when I was together with George where I wasn't laughing uproariously. We shared a slightly warped sense of humor and The Big Man had an inexhaustible reservoir of jokes and stories. George was not only funny but very, very smart and knew a lot about just about everything-science, politics, history and more. We had so many great and wide ranging conversations. Losing him hurts badly and our hearts go out to Allie, Laryca, Meghan and all the many who loved this extraordinary man. (Photos taken in 2012 at the Mountain View Resort in Whitefield, NH at Heidi Freeman's wedding)

It continues to hit me at random times that you are no longer with us in person, George. I know that you are looking down on Alison and the girls with love and they are able to feel you in their hearts, just as you loved them on earth with all of your heart. I don't think there could have been a more wonderful and kind person than you. You were a friend to everyone you met and I believe your soul will live on through those in your life. I love you, I love Alison, Laryca and Meghan, and I miss you tremendously.

Q: What did George like to do in their free time?
A: George was one of the best person I’ve ever known
He loved the outdoors and his family
We did a lot of fishing together and he had one of the best sense of humor
He would make my day when he told me a joke
I will never forget him or his family
My sincere condolences to the family and friends who have lost a great husband and father and a great friend
He was always there for anyone who needed help and he was a very caring person
I will definitely miss him
May George bring a smile to your heart ❤️

I had the pleasure of meeting George through my dear HS friend and teammate, Alison...his amazing wife. I believe we first met at one of our HS reunions. The first time I met George, I did feel like I had a friend for life. He was always welcoming and kind. I last talked w/ George at our recent 50th/51st HS reunion this October. I commented to my husband how amzingly friendly and comfortable Big G made you feel every time I had the pleasure of meeting him. This is a big loss for Alison and their girls. My heart hurts for them. God sure did need an extra special, good & kind Angel. RIP George.

There are not enough words in the English or Ukranian languages to describe the man that is George or the void that his passing has created. He was not only my friend's husband, he was my friend too. I will miss him.

Oh George, my dear dear friend. THIS is not what we planned! Over 44 years ago--- You, Me and Al. It was always love, friendship, laughter and support, and of course, family. As you would say, ‘sei una famiglia”. Thank you for loving Al so fully and beautifully. Thank you for all you did for me and now, Ryan. You have left an amazing legacy in Laryca and Meg, and what an example they had in you to guide them to Sean and Steve. My family has grown and strengthened, but my heart is broken. Love you forever. Maria
