Shirley H. Strang, a longtime resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 87.

Shirley was born on June 21, 1935, in Yonkers, NY to the late Rudolf and Anna (Ridzik) Kruger. A graduate of Roosevelt High School and Berkley Secretarial School, Shirley spent many years as the secretary at First Baptist Church in Peekskill, NY.  She was an active church member and believed that her family was God's greatest blessing in her life.  

She raised three loving sons with the love of her life, Robert A. Strang.  They were happily devoted to each other for 63 wonderful years.  No one enjoyed her amazing talent for cooking and baking more than her family.  No one could ever resist her cheesecake. Her family was everything to her and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert 'Bob' A. Strang and her three sons, David A. (Jennifer), Jeffrey A. (Susan), and Mark (Colleen).  She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Steven, Jessica (Richard Seiferheld), Anna, McKenzie, Matthew, Cole, and Kayley Strang; her niece Tami Strang and her nephew Nathan Strang. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Paul Strang and sister-in-law Stenya Strang, as well as many dear cousins and friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her brother-in-law Warren Strang and sister-in-law Sandy Strang.

It has been said that mothers are the heart of a family.  In our case, nothing could be more true. 

We trust that her faith has brought her eternal peace in heaven and know that her love for us will carry us through this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.

Chapel Service will be held during visitation at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be private.
